Common sense analysis of this, that and the other

Sorry, just a little puzzled, where were the snowflakes who are protesting at the travel policy introduced stateside the other day that has been introduced in the past by President Bill Clinton (without fanfare) and designed by the Obama administration when…

  1. 3000 people were murdered on September 11, 2001
  2. 30 or so Brits were slaughtered on a beach in Tunisia (lack of ongoing coverage of this is inexplicable, despite over 20 years of hype when one person is shot or stabbed in a crime in an inner city where the person is probably involved in crime themselves)
  3. Hundreds of innocent French were murdered over the last few years
  4. Hundreds were killed in various other random locations around Europe, the US and Asia

Anyway, if anyone would care to drop me a line to provide some enlightenment, that would be much appreciated! Ideally, just post a comment below.

On the upside, in the UK anyway, 1 million protested at this sensible if poorly implemented filtration system, but there are approximately 63,000,000 here, so as usual with these matters, it is the silent clued up majority that really counts, and that dear reader is why Brexit happened and Trump is in the White House.

We are at war and the total lack of understanding or patience by the usual suspects is a disgrace. I wonder what would have happened to them if they tried this during WW2 and prevented the authorities from protecting their very souls!

Just as a footnote, I am no fan of Western policy in the Middle East, in particular our eternal oil wars and accidentally offending other cultures by our very presence. I wrote about this in 1992 in my short story predicting a nuclear terrorist attack on New York City – but us civilians have nothing to do with it, did not vote for it, in particular those of us who avoid using petroleum based products (I just ordered my first large solar panel to continue our move to an off grid life/work style), but if we were not purchasing oil from those regions, they would not be as wealthy as they are, and should be grateful for our custom, even if the output of their product is polluting and contributes to climate change.

Geopolitics is complex, so much so, it takes brevity to learn how the whole sorry affair works, because it teaches one truth: We live in a nasty world, and our lifestyles exist because politicians do things ‘on our behalf’ (not Trump, he hates all our meddling, as he made clear before and after the election), so sometimes, I wonder why I even write blog posts like this, because it’s beyond us ‘ants to do anything about. But the reality is, most of the terror and nasty that goes on in the world is all about envy. Intellectuals, football stars, musicians, web designers and more don’t commit crime because they enjoy their lives and gain pleasure in entertaining others and seeing others happy.

Certain cultures and groups dislike ‘fun’ (music, pets etc) and need to chill and stop blaming everyone else for their self induced woes. And those who defend them should focus on climate change and other worldly issues that are occurring in parallel.

Sometimes there is a datum that allows one to test a theory.

Before I went to see the movie Passengers today, I knew full well that I would enjoy it, despite not having seen any trailers.

S P O I L E R  A L E R T

  1. The negative reviews I had read projected the usual unethical, disjointed dishonest man bashing feminism that is destroying Western society at breakneck speed. So, whenever this sort of thing happens, no matter how superb the production design, music, acting and visual effects, the movie was destined to be panned.
  2. A friend who shares my taste in movies liked it too! 🙂

And I did indeed. It was wonderful, emotional and beautifully made, with excuisit attention to detail and imagination.

As per this review that I randomly came across whilst Googling the movie after seeing it, the male character was NOT some nasty exploitative rapist, he was a real man, you know the opposite of the useless woe is me snowflakes who are seeping into the narrative these days. He cared, too, spending a year considering his actions!

Oh, and one more thing, if she had NOT been woken up, Pratt’s character would not have been able to save the ship on his own, and they would all have died anyway. So there.

Hollywood and the left wing media are do disgusting in their hypocrisy, it is incredible! They embrace a career first selfish lifestyle that leads to quick divorce and messed up children and are trying to destroy what it is to be a human being by projecting values into the minds of youth that are out of sync with the natural intuitive order of things.

It is such a relief that for all his flaws, America just voted in a President who doesn’t take poop and will slap the shoulder chipped SJWs back into place.

So an unarmed Trident missile took a wrong turn towards the USA, not the sea near Africa.

The UK media are pressuring the government to give our enemies insight into our primary deterrent.

Of course, it is very political, no one realising that all complex technical systems, including Space-X rockets, will sometimes fail.

When it comes to a real nuclear exchange, failures like this, that are tests, will have ironed out most if not all the serious bugs. If we let our enemies know of any flaws in new systems, then it leaves us with our shields down, so it needs to be covered up.

If there is an accident and people are killed or injured, then that is a different thing.

Déjà vu

Out of the blue the media is discussing research re the carcinogenic effects of heated carbs.

Why is it that every so often, we are told again what we already know as if it is something new?

I was taught at school in the 1970s that consuming burned toast caused cancer, due to the carbon particulates effect on cells. Obvious really, considering that smoking has the same effect.

A few years ago, there was a report out of Sweden or other Scandinavian nation that baked carbs (crisps, chips, corn chips etc) were carcinogenic.

What gets me beyond this recycled information issue is that people are complaining about a nanny state. Well, I am grateful to be informed of something that is harmful, so welcome it, so don’t see what the problem is in general?

What has puzzled me over my lifetime is how badly educated most people seem to be. Why are so few aware of the scientific facts that allow us to know about such issues without any reminders though reports such as this? Was I the only one paying attention in class?

This dovetails into the comment I made at the end of my previous VA post that in a nutshell says ‘Knowledge is Power’.

…why it is so cold everywhere these last few weeks, I will tell you. Because the polar ice caps are melting thanks to global warming, (climate change to be more accurate), the cold water is of course spreading across our oceans and cooling the air.

This was ALL predicted a long long time ago.

What the consequences will be is unknown, but coupled with the jet streams being stuck, that explains the sharp temperature differences over relatively small distances, such as Southern and Northern England last few days. Scotland was balmy whilst down south it was minus 4 or 5.

Kids: Want to know why things happen? Read your science and maths books at school and pay attention to your talkative enthusiastic lecturer as he or she waves their hands around explaining how it all works.

You’ll be primed for life!

This ladies and gentlemen is the true definition of a jobsworth. And such a person, or in this case, persons (a trio of them, nightmare!), have the following characteristics in common:

  • Inability to take a pragmatic approach to a situation
  • A cold compassionless heart
  • Low intellect
  • False sense of entitlement
  • Missuse of power

During WW2 such people would be armed. And we know what that lead to.

This is why we don’t need Heathrow Runway 3, we need a new airport built offshore. A tragedy like this only needs to happen once.

As society progresses, from factory robots that replace once dangerous or monotonous jobs to state provided infrastructure, so we as individuals can aspire to better things and therefore, an improved QOL.

Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs comes to mind. If we’re worrying about or dealing with the ‘small stuff’ (‘finding water to drink’), we don’t have time to dwell on matters that others may take for granted, such as eating solid food or watching a movie on Netflix.

The concept behind the NHS was fair and good, and has probably saved the lives of millions of people over the last 50 years or so, something I can testify to first hand.

However, like most things that are ‘given’ to us, if one becomes reliant on or takes for granted a service or item provided at no direct cost, this can backfire and lead to where we are today, with reports that the NHS is in crisis. (Whether this is true or not or just politics, I do not know.) Assuming the NHS is in meltdown, can we stop blaming the wrong causes, namely lack of funding! How much do you want?

The causes are as follows:

Increased population – Just as our roads are now choca 24/7, so if there are more of us in any specific area, then no matter all other issues, the system will become overloaded. We cannot simply keep building more surgeries or hospitals else we’ll concrete over the whole country, increase air pollution and make things even worse! I could swing to the right and claim that immigrants are exploiting the NHS, but being they are on the whole healthier due to lack of dietary issues covered in my next point, I doubt they need to use it much, but I don’t know the stats, so rather not say.

People who are not paying or did not pay taxes earlier in their lives being given anything by the state, unless under exceptional circumstances, does bother some of us because it leaves the more deserving without support.

Obesity – Let’s be truthful shall we? The fairly healthy elderly who are according to our Prime Minister costing the nation a fortune in state handouts are that way because they grew up during a period when food was more scarce, less processed and you walked to where you bought it from, you didn’t hop in a people carrier and head to Sainsburys.

So they are more healthy and are living longer, so requiring help. (I do agree that state help should be means tested. Seems unfair to provide handouts to those who don’t need it. Many probably don’t want it anyway for pride and ethical reasons!)
‘War children’ really did eat ‘meat and potatoes’ meals. (Stew n veg, liver and onion, soup, home made sandwiches etc.) Today, a whole ‘underclass’ of society spend every Saturday in McDonald’s  (go visit if you don’t believe me) stuffing selves and pale prematurely bespectacled children with junk food, whilst browsing their Facebook news feed on an iPhone rather than an affordable Android handset. Whilst such self destructive and immensely selfish behaviour is a ‘right’ in our democracy, the cost to the state of this is massive! Type 1 diabetics costs over £500 a week per person to support. Hip operations must cost someone a lot too. Then there is the effect on general health, colds and other lesser illnesses that people now take to their doctors’ overloading surgeries or even hospitals.

Imagine how things would be if tomorrow, due to some massive national or global emergency (war, asteroid impact, epidemic etc), anyone other than the very old or babies were forbidden from seeing a doctor or going to hospital. Within weeks you can bet they would spend Saturday morning walking their kids around the nearest farmer’s market (good fun as well as healthy!) than sitting down consuming edible tat, assuming source of such tat was even open during an apocalypse.

Fight flab club – Live responsibly and don’t let big pharma win – they love an unhealthy population addicted to insulin and pills.

The mind boggles! You are allowed to check guns into your luggage when flying? What am I missing here? I thought we wen’t even allowed scissors and some fluids onto flights? And here, we have a guy who has a ‘history’ and he was allowed to check a gun in!

Every form I have ever filled in when flying states no weapons may be taken aboard.

Clarity please!

Worst of both worlds

leave a comment »

I saw a headline on the already terrible Independent Newspaper regarding the attack on a disabled person in the USA by yet more of our social media addicted fly lords, (that in itself a separate subject), but was greeted instead with another unsolicited auto playing video commercial whose audio was an unwarranted disturbance. However, unlike video commercials until now, this one would NOT pause! It had a PAUSE icon, but clicking it didn’t do anything at all.

Worse still, the commercial was from one of the world’s worst corporations, Nestle, and features stereotypical African women and was no doubt about to promote some BS to make us think they are a caring company.

But what really is sickening is that we have to sit through a noisy commercial before an article about yet another criminal attack on an innocent person.

We really have reach full dystopia, where large companies profit from crime, even indirectly.

Fight back club: Don’t read The Independent, and don’t buy anything from Nestle or any company they own. They have already decimated Cadbury.
